Our Story

The School House was birthed out of a deep sense of conviction that many of our children were no longer receiving life-changing education. Sadly, in our educational system of today… school prayer has been removed, God’s name is rarely mentioned and the love and honor for our country is rarely being taught to our children.

In addition, student to teacher ratios are becoming so out of balance that teachers are often left frustrated and overwhelmed while students are missing out on the hands-on instruction necessary to develop properly.

This has left many parents searching for answers.

Michelle Emanuelli, Owner and Director of The School House and Early Childhood Educator of over 15 years in the Dallas, McKinney and Prosper School Districts, noticed there was a need for something different.

After working in the Dual Language Program in Prosper, she also discovered the need for a Pre-K Dual Prep Program in Prosper, where children would learn the foundational skills necessary to be accepted and have success in the Dual Language Program.

She dreamed of a unique school where children could learn different languages, grow their own food, care for animals, develop Christian values, be exposed to Music, Arts and Sports - all while mastering the academic TX Prekindergarten Guidelines to support and prepare children for success in Kindergarten. A place where teachers cared deeply for their students' academic, emotional, physical and spiritual development and where most importantly… children were genuinely excited to attend school. A place that students could call “their home away from home”.

With the purchase of 2 beautiful acres in the heart of Downtown Prosper, TX and after years of prayer, planning and preparation… The School House was officially born.

This dream could have never been possible without the love and encouragement of her biggest supporter, her husband, JP.
