The School House is a preschool for students ages 4-5 years old. Students must be 4 years old by September 1st to qualify for enrollment.

We ask that your child bring a healthy snack, lunch in a lunch box and water (bottle, zip cup, tumbler, thermos..), daily.

A second language helps exercise the brain, leading to the development of cognitive abilities. Learning Spanish has been linked to improved academic performance, as it enhances abilities such as problem-solving and critical thinking. Research has shown that the best way to learn a second language is exercising immersion at an early age. Taking Spanish in Preschool is a great place to start.

Prosper ISD has a very successful Dual Language Program where students receive instruction in both Spanish and English. For more information on their school program visit their page: Dual Language at Rucker. The School House will be offering conversational Spanish practice Mondays through Thursdays, from 3:30PM to 5:00PM during the school year for students K to 5th grade. Monolingual Program-English
The Monolingual model consists of two classrooms of 16 students that will be receiving instruction only in English except for their Spanish rotation once a day. Subjects taught include English Language Arts (Phonics, Writing & Reading), Math, Library and Bible class. One Rotation a day will be in Spanish from Monday through Thursday -> Farm, Garden & S.T.E.A.M (Spanish, Theater, Engineering, Arts, Music).
Two-Way Dual Language- Spanish & English
The Two-Way Dual Language model consists of two balanced classrooms of 16 students where the same number of native English speakers (Spanish learners) and native Spanish speakers (English learners) are integrated for instruction so that both groups of students learn from each other while serving in the role of language model and language learner, at different times.
-Spanish and English speakers will receive Language Arts instruction in their native language.
-Math will be taught in English to all students.
Remaining subjects will be taught in Spanish>Music, Arts, Library, Bible, Farm and Gardening.
Students will begin their day in their Home Room classroom where they will receive Math in English and Phonics & Writing in their native language. Then, students will join one of two balanced groups (8 Spanish speakers and 8 English speakers) to rotate together following the daily rotation schedule .

All tuition will be due the first day of each month. After the 3rd day of the month, any unpaid fees will incur a late charge of $10.00 per child, per day. If tuition has not been paid by the 10th of the month, an additional $20.00, per child, per day will be added to tuition and the student will not be permitted to attend school until full payment has been received.

S.T.E.A.M is a 45 minute long daily rotation where students are highly engaged in hands-on activities related to Sports, Theater, Engineering, Arts and Music.
Sports and Engineering will be taught in English. Arts & Music will be taught in Spanish.

Yes, as long as your child is enrolled at The School House. The Extended Day program is reserved only for students enrolled at The School House.

Yes! The “After the Bell” program is designed to provide Spanish homework assistance and conversational Spanish practice for school age students Kindergarten-5th grade.

Students enrolled in this program can attend any day Monday-Friday from 3:30-5:00.
The monthly fee for this program is $300.00.

Absolutely! After the Bell is designed to provide conversational Spanish practice to non Spanish speakers.
Children enrolled in this program can attend Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:00. Students will learn Spanish through working hands-on at The Farm with mini farm animals, listening and re-telling stories, as well as playing interactive games and learning songs in Spanish.

Students who have completed Pre-K, Kindergarten, First, Second & Third grade will be able to enroll in our Summer Camp program.

GIRLS
-Approved school apparel must be worn daily (t-shirts/long or short sleeves, polos or sweatshirts).
-All shirts and dresses must cover the midsection.
-No hoods on indoor clothing are permitted.
-Coats & jackets should be age-appropriate pictures and logos. Skull designs are not considered age appropriate.
-Leggings are not considered pants and are only allowed under a skirt.
Shoes:
-Closed shoes. ‘Classic Clog’ Crocs or heels are not permitted. Children may wear gym sneakers that tie or fasten with velcro.
Accessories:
-Girls may wear one pair of small earrings. Earrings may not be hoops or dangle. Play and costume jewelry, wristbands or ankle bands may not be worn in school.
-Only natural hair color permitted.
-Girls nails must be trimmed and not painted.
-No tattoos
BOYS

You can purchase one of our Summer Camper T-Shirts or you may wear comfortable clothes - shorts, T-shirt and tennis shoes. To be able to enter the Farm, we require rubber boots. We have lockers to keep any extra items you may need.
