Our Story

The School House was birthed out of a deep sense of conviction that children deserve to receive a holistic, life-changing education. School prayer has been removed from classrooms and etiquette is seldom taught to our children.

In addition, student to teacher ratios have become so out of balance that teachers are often left frustrated and overwhelmed while students are missing out on individualized instruction to support their unique learning journey.

This has left many parents searching for answers. 

Michelle Emanuelli, Owner and Director of The School House and Early Childhood Educator of over 16 years in the Dallas, McKinney and Prosper School Districts, observed there was a need for an alternative to the traditional education model.

She dreamed of a unique school where children are equipped with life skills, learn different languages, grow their own food, care for animals, learn Christian values, be exposed to Music, Arts and Sports - all while mastering the academic TX Prekindergarten Guidelines to support and prepare children for success in Kindergarten. A place where teachers cared deeply for their students' academic, emotional, physical and spiritual development and where most importantly… children were genuinely excited to attend school. A place that students could call “their home away from home”. 

With the purchase of over 2 beautiful acres in Prosper, TX and after years of prayer, planning and preparation… The School House was officially born.

This dream could have never been possible without the love and encouragement of her biggest supporter, her husband, JP.
